AFHRA began its roots in 2010 by industry alternative fuel veteran Kevin Fern. AFHRA is a non-profit mechanism to educate, inform, train and provide a stable foundation for racing, performance enthusiasts, Hot Rodder’s and manufacturers to build and create innovative products and fuel systems. From professional racing to backyard mechanics, this foundation will serve its members by setting standards for products and guidelines for fuel system design. With alternative fuels becoming more common place, so are the number of fuel system providers and installers. The obvious safety concerns exist around the proper design and installation of a fuel system. AFHRA understands that alternative fuels are relatively new to the performance environment and was created to help bridge the information gap, with guidelines and resources to help individuals and companies to enter this exciting field.
